Swallows and Amazons and Cats
I saw a film “Swallows and Amazons” (1974 version) a year or so ago, with my son, and we were so captivated by it that I bought the DVD, which we watched around ten times over the following months. Recently I ordered a book “The Making of Swallows and Amazons” by Sophie Neville, who played Titty Walker in the film. It arrived today, and I can’t wait to dive in. Swallows and Amazons Forever!
I thought I’d also share another story about the cats we had, and their antics. Here’s the last blog with a couple of cat tales. We had a cat called Jake, about twenty years ago, and he was a lovely and obedient. He’d take commands, like well-trained dogs do. But he did do some funny things – well sort of funny. Like when he wolfed down tons of food, then a minute later ran under the table and threw it all back up. My mum and I stared at the huge pile of cat-food-sick and wondered what to do. We needn’t have worried, as good old Jake started to nosh it all up, and didn’t stop until he’d eaten it all back up.
Now, I’m off for lunch :o) Yum!
